The Cast Lead Operation

People could have live now in a better place as Israel left Gaza Strip in 2005 as a green house. Israel dismantled the settlement and the Palestinians were called to live in peace but unfortunately, Hamas abused the situation and spread hatred and terror and those who suffered are not only Israelis but also Palestinians.

Israel decided to take responsibility of its citizens’ life and to act against terror and it does need to take permission from other countries as said that Israel was backed by some Arab countries. Israel is a free democratic state.

We all have the same interest and we leave those who believe in peace, those who believe in the implementation of two states for two people as the outcome and solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, those who want peace needs to make the challenge of terror and extremism. Hamas represents terror, extremism and war and on the other side, we have the camp of those who believe in peace and moderation and in implementing the two states solution for two people and we can find within the Arab world those leaders who know that Hamas represents only hatred and terror. On the other, to give the Palestinians a better life in their own and before the implementing of the two states solution, Palestinians must be helped economically as this is the grass root for a state.

Those Arabs leaders who understand that Israel works with the Palestinian legitimate government in order to create the Palestinian state as the answer of the Palestinian inspiration.

Those who understand that, this kind of hatred that Hamas is spreading within the Palestinians and the Arab world are not going to lead this region into a peaceful life. They need to be part of this shelve of meeting the challenge of Hamas and extremism. Unfortunately, the pictures showed upon media is not helping to live in peace in the region as they are being one-sided and showing despair of people does not help. Many Arab people are manifesting against Israel but where were they when from 2000 to 2008, ten thousand rockets fell into Israel and some 1300 Israelis died.

Let’s give together hope to the people, let’s work together with all pragmatic leaders of the region and with the legitimate Palestinian government. The enemies are not the Palestinians; the enemies of all of us are the Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah and those who are trying to deprive the right to live in peace in the region.

Those moderates in the Arab world understand the significance of living into peace. The Cast Lead Operation was carried out because Hamas was targeting Israel and Hamas was not willing to live in peace. Hamas abused the fact that Israel left Gaza Strip and took all the population into terror and hostage and used them as shield for their own means. The only way for the Palestinians to live in peace is by a free dialogue with the legitimate Palestinian government.

What Israel did represent the interest of the free world and those who believe in the two states solution for two people and those who understand that these radical elements are not fighting for the legitimate rights but are fighting in order to deprive people from achieving peace?

There is a need to stop smuggling of weapons and release Gilad Shalit held captive by Hamas. Israel accepted the truce through Egypt meditation but what was gained in return, smuggling of weapons into Gaza Strip, long range missiles and refusal to come to Egypt for the release of captive soldier. Israel tried everything but everything to live in peace and tried everything but everything to avoid the military action.
